Graphics
Mosart supports a numerous set of graphics systems including Vizrt's Pilot, Trio and Weather, Avid's Deko and Thunder, HEGO, Chyron, Pixelpower, Brainstorm, Xpression and Caspar. Should a different graphics system be required, Mosart will do a thorough implementation as part of a normal delivery project. Control of multiple CG and full screen engines.
In the Mosart user interface, the Director has a clear view of CG timing. Graphical elements and CGs are normally written into the rundown in the newsroom computer system, but can also be set directly in the Mosart user interface. Content of graphical templates are inserted into the graphics system by Mosart. Change of graphical style can be done by Director's selection or through newsroom computer system commands. Thus CGs may appear differently in the sports segment than in the news segment, although the coding remains the same*).
In the newsroom computer system full screen graphics and CGs may take the form of MOS-items and/or textual references. CG timing may be contained in the MOS-item or given explicitly. In-time may be manual, set relative to story element or absolute. CG duration may be default, set relative, or set to last to end of story. When timing is manual, the Director gets a clear view of CGs available.
Mosart's built-in management of time and space overlapping CGs secures correct display of for example name/title supers that shall take precedence over story footers. This feature complements the graphics system provider's transition logic. Assume that a story footer shall last for the whole story but be overridden by a name/title super from time = 6 to 11, then an animated transition from the story footer to the name/title super will occur at time 6 and the opposite transition will be animated at time 11. When the next story starts an animated transition from the previous to the next story footer will occur.
*) feature may not be applicable to all graphics systems
